A More Efficient, Buyer-Centric Experience

ASD Market Week is evolving in 2026 with changes designed to enhance the buyer experience, drive more productive outcomes for exhibitors, and streamline operations across the board. Here’s what’s changing:

#1: New 3-Day, Mid-Week Format

To evolve ASD to be more efficient, in line with industry trends, and respond to buyer preferences, ASD Market Week will transition from a 4-day show, held Sunday through Wednesday, to a new 3-day format, running Tuesday through Thursday, starting in March 2026.

The decision is based on extensive surveys conducted by ASD in 2023, 2024, and 2025 – with overwhelming support for a shorter, work week-focused event, which better aligns with attendees’ availability.

Reasons buyers prefer weekday show:

  • Many buyers view ASD as part of their workweek.
  • Weekends are the busiest time for many retailers, while others expressed a desire to keep weekends free for family, religious, or other commitments.
  • Avoid Las Vegas weekend crowds.

#2:  New Hall Configuration: Moving to North & Central Halls

Beginning in 2026, we will be relocating to the North & Central Halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center (no longer occupying South Hall).  This new floor plan configuration will create a more unified layout, improving traffic flow by shortening the distance attendees have to walk between halls. The new layout is designed to boost discovery and cross-shopping between product categories by more strategically placing category sections on the floor.

#3:  Secure Your Spot Early: Accelerated Timeline for Booth Assignments

For the March 2026 show, we will accelerate the booth assignment process.  Earlier booth assignments will provide you with additional time to promote your participation and location at the show and encourage attendees to register to sooner by allowing them to see participating vendors much earlier.

Booth assignments for the March 2026 show will begin immediately following the August 2025 show. To be included in the first round of booth number assignments, exhibitors must submit their contract and deposit by Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 3:00 PM PT. This change will not impact the August 2025 show format.

#4:  Additional Investments in Buyer Acquisition

Ensuring the growth and enhancement of ASD Market Week is our top priority. We are committed to attracting new buyers and enhancing the experience for our current attendees.

Our strategy revolves around driving both quantity and quality of attendees to the show. This means not only increasing the number of attendees but also ensuring they are the right buyers for your products.

To achieve this goal, ASD Market Week has significantly boosted our investment in attendee acquisition efforts. This includes ramping up our marketing initiatives and strengthening our talent resources dedicated to enhancing attendee engagement and satisfaction.

Our commitment to enriching VIP buyer engagement has led to significant expansions. Last year, we had one full-time team member dedicated to this effort. Today, our team has grown to five dedicated professionals focused solely on cultivating relationships with high-value buyers and expanding our reach in the LATAM markets.

Rest assured, our dedication to growing the show and delivering a valuable experience for all attendees remains our number one focus.  Meet the team:

FAQs

Now that the show is 3 days instead of 4, will the price be lower?

While the show is transitioning to a more efficient 3-day format, our operational costs remain significant and are, in fact, continuing to rise. Vendor fees, venue rentals, and labor costs have all increased, and we’re also making additional investments to elevate the show experience, including enhanced buyer acquisition, expanded VIP buyer hosting, new marketing initiatives, and an upgraded show floor infrastructure.

Our goal with this format shift is not cost-cutting, but value-boosting—delivering higher ROI in fewer days by driving better quality traffic, improving the buyer journey, and supporting our exhibitors with more impactful connections. Getting more key customers to you more efficiently!

We’re committed to reinvesting in what matters most to you: more buyers, better engagement, and a show experience that continues to evolve with your business needs.

*In addition, booth pricing will remain consistent for both the March and August 2026 shows, ensuring clarity and predictability as you plan your participation.

Why was the decision made to change the date and day pattern for ASD Market Week?
  • This was a data-driven decision supported by three years of buyer and exhibitor survey feedback (2023–2025).
  • The clear preference has been for a shorter, weekday-focused show format that better fits the schedules of both buyers and exhibitors.

Is this consistent with what other shows in the industry are doing?
  • Yes, many other leading shows in the industry have already shifted to this format.
  • ASD was one of the last major shows to include weekends, so this move brings us in line with current industry standards and attendee expectations.
  • A more concentrated show format typically results in higher-quality buyer interactions and greater urgency to place orders.
Will a shorter show affect buyer quality or quantity?
  • Our goal is for this change to positively impact both the quality and quantity of buyers.
  • A weekday format makes it easier for small retailers who can’t leave their stores on weekends to attend, and for those larger corporate attendees who have expressed the desire to attend ASD to be part of their work week and not overlap weekend family and religious obligations.
  • We also anticipate that buyers will bring additional team members, increasing on-site purchasing power and improving engagement.
